The Southern New England Model Railroad Club is an O Scale model railroad club located in Gardner Massachusetts . Currently the club has 13 members, operates a 33' x 81' modular layout and is constructing a 40’ by 65’ permanent layout.

The Southern New England Model Railroad Club was a cosponsor of New England 98, the 1998 National O Scale Convention, and sponsored the 2008 O Scale National Convention featuring the Southern New England modular layout. The layout was also displayed at the NMRA National Convention in Hartford CT. in July 2009 where the layout won the Best in Show and Chairman's Awards. Since 1991 our layout has been on display every year at the Amherst Railway Society Big Train Show. This year’s show to be held January 25th & 26th 2014 at the Eastern States Exposition grounds in West Springfield MA. ,

The clubs schedule of events include Wednesday evening work sessions, occasional Saturday work sessions and a bi-monthly business meeting that is closed to all but members and is held on Saturday Mornings.

"We have constructed the Roland Roberts yard for our permanent layout." The layout is a double track main line generating its’ freight traffic from several online industries consolidated in its’ main yard and dispersed to other locations throughout the rail system. The state of the art design provides a linear walk-around model railroad using the "mushroom" techniques to greatly increase running length (850’).
